History of Diverse Leadership Inc
Based on positive experiences with the “Leaders for Tomorrow” (LFT) program, interest was expressed by the LFT grads and supporters to expand on what they had achieved and create an organisation that would foster leadership Aspirations. And so, diverse Leadership Inc was established and incorporated in August of 2014.
The purpose of the Association is to Develop the capacity of people with disability to act as leaders in business, government, community or wherever their interests lie.
As Diverse Leadership Inc was Incorporated in 2014, the first Annual General Meeting was held on 4 February 2016. At that meeting the members of Diverse Leadership (Inc) elected their first Board.
The affairs of the Association are managed exclusively by a Board consisting of-
- a Chairperson
- a Deputy-Chairperson
- a Secretary
- a Treasurer
- and not more than five other persons, all of whom must be members of the Association, with at least two thirds of the Board being people with a disability.
